If you know that is not the case you can get a dog brush and try that starting at the ends and working up i find wire ones or widely spaced bristles with rubber tips work best. When a stuffie has been through the washer dryer its fur can become matted easily especially longer fur. A regular hairbrush can be used but it should have soft widespread bristles. Grab a hair brush that you are no longer using and start to give your plush a good brushing.

Hard to know without seeing a picture sometimes people wash their stuffed animals and put them in the dryer and it crinkles or fries the plush and you can t fix that. Then simply sew the new fur in place with a proper colored thread. Then use the piece for a template to cut the new fur into the needed shape. It s fairly similar to brushing a real pet.

Ok now it is time to fix the fur on the stuffed animal. Some stuffed animals are made from synthetic fibers so special care needs to be taken to brush them. Do not pull too hard or it will tear some of the fur from the animal. Make sure to brush in the natural intended direction of the fur and use tape to get out any debris from matted areas.
